Like the buildings in this original district, the Cotton House Hotel has an interior patio garden. Of particular note are La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, both the work of Gaudí, Barcelona’s most universal architect (they are a 10-minute walk from the hotel). Public parking lots and street parking are nearby, but the hotel does provide pricey valet service. The front desk staff and Concierge were excellent. Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant were a nightmare.

The hotel’s gorgeous library and sitting rooms are usually filed with lounging guests, but they're also available to rent as meeting rooms.
